Taylor County is home ground, and Abilene is its seat. Sewer here stops at the city edges. Everything past those lines, and nearly all of the surrounding counties, runs on a septic system, and that is our whole map.
The work crosses four counties, and that matters here, because each is its own permitting authority under the state OSSF rules. Abilene, Merkel, Tye, Buffalo Gap, and Tuscola sit in Taylor County. Clyde is in Callahan County. Anson and Hawley are in Jones County. Trent straddles the Taylor and Nolan line. We file with the right one for your parcel, so a lot out of the county does not stall in the wrong office.
The ground is consistent across that map and it drives everything: expansive clay over caliche, soil that sheds water instead of taking it. That is why aerobic spray systems are the standard design here, on both new builds and replacements. The soil evaluation reads the depth to caliche, which is what decides how shallow a given system has to ride.
A few lot types recur. Open farm and ranch acreage around Merkel, Trent, and Anson gives a spray dispersal room to spare. Ranchettes in the scenic country around Buffalo Gap and Tuscola add slope to the design. And lakeside lots near Lake Abilene and Lake Fort Phantom Hill carry strict setbacks from the water.
